I am a California native that found my way to Mendocino County for its beauty and tranquility to raise my family.

I have three kids, two born under the care of midwives at home. I  chose midwifery care for my 2nd and 3rd births to increase my chances of having a VBAC (vaginal birth after cesarean), which is statistically more likely with midwife-attended birth. I  became enamored with my midwives and the Midwifery Model of Care; they put so much focus on me, my wishes, my needs and my health. Their time, energy, skills and knowledge throughout my care made my  HBACs (homebirths after cesarean) possible. I have sought to pay it forward ever since.

Since 2008 I have supported birthing people through pregnancy, birth and postpartum in  home, hospital and in a local out of hospital birth center.  I hold a Bachelor's Degree in the Science of Midwifery.

I love connecting with the families I work with.  I love seeing clients evolve as their bellies expand, watching people transform into parents, and kids become siblings. I love working with my community of midwives. But more than all that, I love seeing individuals take an active role in their pregnancies and births.

The Midwifery Philosophy centers on the birthing person and their family, in their health and well being and in their autonomous role as the decision-maker in their care.  Of course, midwives do our jobs by being skilled, educated and in educating our clients so they may make evidence informed decisions.

My goals in working in this field is to be there for my clients,  to treat people with kindness  and compassion, and to share  evidence based information so clients can make decisions about their health. I strive for excellence in care, and humility and inclusivity in my practice. To learn more about me and the services that I offer, please get in touch.
